POSTGRADUATE STUDY SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM


Jugopetrol AD, a member of HELLENiQ ENERGY, as part of its corporate social responsibility program, which HELLENiQ ENERGY is conducting for the thirteenth consecutive year, announces the award of scholarships for postgraduate studies at universities abroad and in Montenegro for the academic year 2025-2026.

Through its postgraduate scholarship program, Jugopetrol supports final-year students and graduates who have achieved outstanding results during their undergraduate studies and wish to continue their education, further specialize, and gain new knowledge in the following areas:

Field of Engineering and Energy:
• Energy transition
• Renewable energy sources
• Alternative technologies – vehicles – fuels – sustainable transport
• Advanced energy materials for energy production and storage
• Petroleum engineering, etc.

Field of Digital Transformation:
• Programming
• Networks and communications
• Data analysis and artificial intelligence
• Cybersecurity
• Intelligent automation – robotics, etc.

Field of Environmental Sciences:
• Environmental management
• Ecosystems
• Climate change
• Sustainable development
• Smart cities
• Local development, etc.

Field of Economics and Management:
• Energy economics – bioeconomy – circular economy
• Energy networks and energy geopolitics
• Energy project management
• Marketing – communication – public relations – political communication
• Law (energy law, law and informatics)
• Human resources management, etc.

Three scholarships will be awarded for full-time studies with a maximum duration of up to two years, for the acquisition of a postgraduate degree: two scholarships for studying at universities in Montenegro and one for studying in one of the following countries: Greece, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Switzerland, Norway, the Netherlands, Denmark, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Australia. Universities are selected by the candidates.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
Candidates must meet the following conditions:
• Must have written confirmation of acceptance to the postgraduate program they intend to study or already be enrolled in it. Those who are already attending/have completed the first year of a two-year postgraduate study with excellent results in first-year exams may also apply.
• Age must not exceed 30 years (must be born after 31.12.1994). Candidates with proven professional experience in fields related to the desired study program may apply, provided they are not older than 32 years (must be born after 31.12.1992).
• Must have Montenegrin citizenship.
• Must be graduates of Montenegrin universities or hold an equivalent degree from a foreign university.
• Must have an average undergraduate grade of at least 8/10 in Montenegro or an equivalent grade of “Excellent” from a foreign university.
• Candidates not meeting this grade requirement may apply if their results are within the top 10% of their class.
• Scholarships are awarded exclusively for full-time studies; applications for distance or part-time studies will not be accepted.
• Scholarship commencement is determined based on the official start date of the respective study program. Scholarships are not retroactive.
• The application deadline is May 18, 2025, with no extensions. Applications may only be submitted electronically via https://scholarships.helleniqenergy.gr/montenegro
• Employees of Jugopetrol and their first-degree relatives cannot apply.

Notes:
• Each candidate will be notified of the results via private message.
• The number of scholarships awarded will depend on expressed interest and available funds.
• HELLENiQ ENERGY aims to expand its scholar community with new members and to maintain contact with them after graduation during their professional careers, thus creating networking opportunities, strengthening the Scholarship Program, and promoting scientific knowledge through presentations and events.

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS
Candidates are invited to submit their application and the following supporting documents exclusively online at https://scholarships.helleniqenergy.gr/montenegro:
1. Recent photo (portrait).
2. Copy of ID or passport.
3. Copy of degree with final grade and confirmation of passed exams for all study years or a confirmation of current average grade, which must be at least 8/10. Graduates of foreign universities must also submit a study regulation extract indicating the university’s grading system.
Candidates not meeting the GENERAL CONDITIONS grade requirement must provide confirmation from the faculty secretariat that their grade is within the top 10% of students in their class.
Candidates applying for a second-year postgraduate scholarship must provide confirmation of passed first-year exams.
4. Confirmation of enrollment or official acceptance letter to the postgraduate program, or correspondence with the university confirming application completion.
5. Official document (e.g., study regulations extract) stating the program, duration (start and, if possible, end date), and tuition costs.
6. Letters of recommendation from university professors. Recommendations must be properly signed. Confirmation of previous work experience if such experience is a requirement for university admission or if the candidate is over 30 with relevant experience for the program.
7. Detailed and updated CV in English. All scholarships, awards, and language proficiencies listed must be confirmed by official documents.
8. F1/J1 visa or equivalent for candidates already studying in the USA and applying to continue their studies there.
9. Criminal record extract.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
• Candidates must submit their application via the online platform at: https://scholarships.helleniqenergy.gr/montenegro by May 18, 2025.
• Additional documents can be sent via email to scholarships.montenegro@jugopetrol.co.me, with the protocol number of the application (automatically received after submission) stated in the email subject.
• Candidates may apply for only one of the four areas: (Engineering and Energy, Economics and Management, Digital Transformation, Environmental Sciences).
• Submission does not imply automatic acceptance. Only applications that meet all the conditions will be evaluated.

EVALUATION PROCESS
• The evaluation committee, composed of senior Group managers, will at its discretion and based on the criteria listed herein, invite selected candidates to an online interview. The committee will then select the top candidates and propose the final scholarship list to the Group Management.
• The Group Management makes the final decision on scholarship recipients and the number of scholarships per scientific field based on candidates’ qualifications, achievements, and financial need. Management decisions are final and cannot be appealed.
• Evaluation results will be published in August 2025.

SCHOLARSHIP FINALIZATION
• The scholarship becomes final upon signing the scholarship agreement.
• After publication of results, the scholar cannot change the chosen program, except in cases of force majeure, to be assessed by the Evaluation Committee and Group Management.

SCHOLARSHIP DURATION
• The scholarship starts on the official program start date.
• The total duration may not exceed the minimum duration defined by the university curriculum. Maximum duration is two years, with no extensions.
• The scholarship may be temporarily suspended at the scholar’s request for up to 9 months for serious reasons.
• HELLENiQ ENERGY Management reserves the right to cancel the scholarship in case of academic failure, study interruption, or other serious reasons (e.g., academic progress, moral integrity).

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT AND PAYMENT METHOD
• Covers tuition costs up to €2,500 for Montenegro scholarships or €10,000 for international scholarships per candidate.
• These are the maximum total amounts payable.
• Study duration must be at least nine months. Scholarship duration is based on the official program length for the year and course.

SCHOLARS' OBLIGATIONS
Scholars are required to:
• Submit detailed grade reports after each semester (official University document).
• Submit progress reports for each semester.
• Join the HELLENiQ ENERGY Global Alumni community.
• Upon graduation, submit a copy of the master's diploma, a summary of scientific activities, and a plan for future academic/professional activities for the next two years.
• Acknowledge their HELLENiQ ENERGY scholar status in all publications, communications, and projects during the scholarship, including their thesis and CV.
• After graduation, submit a copy of the thesis cover and inner pages showing the HELLENiQ ENERGY scholarship acknowledgment.
• Accept employment within the Group if offered, unless valid reasons are accepted by the Group.
• Submit an annual report for three years after graduation on their academic/professional development.
